Tech Prep

FREE College credit may be awarded for successful completion eligible Career and Technical Education (CTE) course in Grades 9-12.

Tech Prep is a national program that offers dual credit--both high school and college credit--for students enrolled in various Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses that are articulated with a local community college.

In the West Valley School District, these credits are offered to our students for free.

Students who successfully complete the competencies in the Tech Prep courses are automatically eligible for the free college credits. Students must complete a registration form that is provided by the teacher.

Tech Prep provides students in West Valley the opportunity to earn over $5,000 in free college credits.

For details on Tech Prep and how this may help your student greatly reduce the cost of higher education, see the links below. In addition you can contact the CTE Director at West Valley High School. Our CTE Director will be happy to assist you with any questions you might have about Tech Prep.
