Registration

Finding your pathway is just the first step in registration. Haven’t found a pathway? Go back to the home page and “shop” for your perfect pathway. For more details about available classes or help deciding which pathway might be right for you, visit the counseling page for the full course catalog or schedule a time to visit with your counselor.

How to Enroll

  1. Registration will take place the spring before next school year
  2. Schedule a meeting with your counselor to review the courses you are eligible for
    • Hint: print out your CIHS pathway page of your choice and take it with you
  3. Depending on the time of year, take the Accuplacer placement exam
  4. Have your parents complete and sign a college registration form from the counselor

  3. Depending on the time of year, take the Accuplacer placement exam
  4. Register for your courses on Xello
  5. Work with your instructor and CWU to complete your registration
  1. Contact Ashley Leiberknecht for enrollment
  2. Enroll in any three of the following self-paced courses:
    • EA 101 Foundations for Earned Admissions
    • ENG 101 English Composition
    • College Math
    • MAT 117 College Algebra
    • MAT 170 Precalculus
    • Mat 210 Brief Calculus
    • MAT 265 Calculus for Engineers
  3. In January, of the year prior, work with your counselor select from the 22 University Level Courses through Earned Admission (EA)
  4. Once completing the EA course work, students have the option to enroll in ASU Dual Enrollment for full course offerings at ASU Online at zero cost
  5. Register for your courses on Xello
  1. Registration can take place at any time of the year, check out YVC’s registration calendar here and you will need to schedule an appointment with your counselor to amend your class schedule
  2. Fill out the Running Start Application form
  3. Email runningstart@yvcc.edu to begin the enrollment process and find an advisor at Yakima Valley College
