Air Rifle Club

Air Rifle Club promotes youth shooting sports, competitive shooting, and postal matches.

Compete locally and nationally in shoulder-to-shoulder matches on our shooting range, and gain community service opportunities.

Art Club

Open to students in grades 9-12. Create art in all mediums–drawing, painting, digital art, knitting, etc.–with unique monthly prompts to spark your creativity.

Big Horn Network Club

Do you like making videos or want to learn about the broadcast industry? Big Horn Network Club members learn to run audio and video systems at the high school. Learn about and assist with live broadcasts of school events like sports, concerts, and assemblies.

Chess Club

Train your brain and dominate the competition. All skill levels welcome.

Cubing Club

Are you a Rubik’s cube enthusiast? Have you always wanted to solve a cube? Learn how to solve the 3x3 cube and move up to 4x4 and 5x5 cubes. Learn the mirror cube, the pyramid, and more as you prepare to beat your time or compete!

Dead Poets Society

Join a group that loves to share and appreciate poetry. Club members read and recite published poems and original work and organize and host WV’s open mic and spoken word events.

DECA

Open to students in grades 9-12. For students interested in marketing, management, entrepreneurship, and financial careers. Meet business professionals and students from around the state, compete and participate in leadership workshops, visit local businesses, gain community service experience, and help with fundraising events.

Dungeons and Dragons Club

Do you like fantastical worlds and wild adventures? Join D&D club and an after-school campaign. No experience needed!

Ecology Club

Get involved in local environmental issues, make your school more environmentally friendly, explore and discuss local and global environmental issues, and hike or bike local trails on club outings.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes

FCA is a place for athletes and others to live the Rams code in practical ways. Unite your passion for faith and athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ.

FFA–Agriculture Club

Freshmen are welcome to join; Ag students are preferred. Hone your agriculture, art, marketing, public speaking, and veterinary medicine skills through leadership activities and over 36 different competitions. Get scholarship, travel, and community service opportunities, and cool FFA swag.

Forensics Club

Must be enrolled in or have taken Ms. Teske’s Forensics Class. If you’re interested in crime scene investigation, law enforcement, becoming a lawyer, or competing at Skills USA, join Forensics Club!

German Club

Does not meet during Club Period. Open to all German language students. German Club travels to Germany every other year.

GSA Club

GSA aims to create a safe, welcoming, and accepting environment for all students regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. All are welcome to join.

History Club

Passionate about history? Explore, connect, and make history come alive through trips to historical sites and museums; hosting discussions, trivia, movie nights, and game days; and collaborating on projects and research.

Japanese Culture Club

Come hang out with cool Japanese-oriented folks, learn to speak and write Japanese, eat and drink Japanese cuisine, make origami, and learn Japanese culture. All students interested in Japanese culture are welcome!

JROTC Club

Earn awards and scholarships, participate in drill meets and spring camp, motivate young people to become better citizens, and gain community service opportunities. You do not need to be an active cadet or be enrolled in JROTC classes to participate.

Key Club

Open to students in grades 9-12. Parent club, WV Kiwanis, organizes service and leadership events and sponsors two Key Club members to attend a regional leadership conference. WV Kiwanis offers three yearly scholarships and NW Kiwanis offers two yearly scholarships exclusively to Key Club members.

Knowledge Bowl

All are welcome. If you’re a trivia buff, love being right, and being part of a team, Knowledge Bowl is for you! Knowledge Bowl students work in three teams of six and attend four local tournaments throughout the year.

Life Smarts Competition Club

All are welcome. Compete, travel, and sharpen your skills in consumer rights, the environment, health, finance, and tech through fun activities. Get ready for real-life challenges and become a savvy, well-equipped adult.

M.E.Ch.A

All are welcome. Promote the advancement of Chicanx/Mexican Americans in higher education, promote Chicano culture and values, and attempt to solve problems encountered by Chicanx while you develop strong bonds inside and outside our community.

Mock Trial

Do you like acting, drama, or imagining you’re a lawyer? Practice with your team, roleplay as lawyers and witnesses, and develop your oratory and argumentative skills as you prepare to present your case in a real courtroom.

NAMI on Campus

NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization. NAMI on Campus students raise mental health awareness with fairs, walks, and vigils; educate the campus through presentations, guest speakers, and panels; advocate for improved mental health services and policies on campus; and support your peers with signature NAMI programs and training.

National Honor Society

Does not meet during Club Period. Open to those with a 3.6 GPA or higher. Create enthusiasm for scholarship, service, and leadership, and help develop character in the secondary school students.

Rock Climbing

Learn the basics of rock climbing and meet other climbers as you train locally at Yakima High Steppe Climbing Center.

Sign Language (ASL) Club

Want to learn American Sign Language or practice your skills? Come share your ideas and help create a fun environment for learning and practice with Sign Language Club.

Spanish Language Club

Open to all WV Spanish students. Increase your Spanish-language proficiency as you pursue the Washington State Seal of Biliteracy.

Sports Medicine Club

Must be currently enrolled in or taking Sports Therapy or Anatomy. If you’re interested in sports medicine, healthcare, and other medical careers, find hands-on learning and practice in the Sports Medicine Club as you prepare for leadership symposiums.

Technology Club

Does not meet during Club Period. Open to all grades 9-12. If you’re interested in technology, competing in technical competitions at the regional and state level, or want to develop an ESports team, try out Technology Club.

Teen Empowerment Network

Partners with the local YWCA and works on empowering teens, learning to control things within your control, promoting healthy friendships and healthy romantic relationships, using social media for good, discussing how racism works and how to eliminate it, connecting teens to community resources, and fundraising to support Yakima YWCA.

Vocal Jazz Choir

Interested in singing vocal jazz and pop music? Vocal Jazz meets during A and B club times to sing using microphones and professional sound equipment. This is an advanced choir and includes after-school rehearsal times.
