Advance in Science with Jennifer Murphy

West Valley High School is thrilled to welcome Jennifer Murphy as a new science teacher. A proud alumna of West Valley, Mrs. Murphy works, lives, and sends her kids to school in the West Valley community.

Mrs. Murphy taught for nearly 10 years in the Selah School District. Now, she is excited to return to West Valley High School and inspire students. “The most important part of my job is building relationships with kids so we can do some rigorous learning,” she shares. Her focus on creating strong connections allows her students to thrive in an environment of trust and academic growth.

This year, Mrs. Murphy is excited to dive into her new role and get to know the staff and students at WVHS. She’s also looking forward to serving as the advisor for WV’s Ecology Club and enjoying home games with our fantastic WV athletic teams.

Mrs. Murphy’s expertise in inquiry-based learning will make her classes stand out, encouraging students to participate and explore the wonderful world of science. Welcome to WVSD, Mrs. Murphy!

West Valley High School está encantada de darle la bienvenida a Jennifer Murphy como nueva maestra de ciencias. Orgullosa exalumna de West Valley, la Sra. Murphy trabaja, vive y envía a sus hijos a la escuela en la comunidad de West Valley.

La Sra. Murphy enseñó durante casi 10 años en el Distrito Escolar Selah. Ahora, está emocionada de regresar a West Valley High School e inspirar a los estudiantes. "La parte más importante de mi trabajo es construir relaciones con los niños para que podamos hacer un aprendizaje riguroso", comparte. Su enfoque en crear conexiones sólidas permite que sus estudiantes prosperen en un entorno de confianza y crecimiento académico.

Este año, la Sra. Murphy está emocionada de sumergirse en su nuevo rol y conocer al personal y los estudiantes de WVHS. También espera desempeñarse como asesora del Club de Ecología de WV y disfrutar de los juegos en casa con nuestros fantásticos equipos deportivos de WV.
