Brooke Scott, First Grade Teacher at Apple Valley Elementary

The principal of Apple Valley Elementary, Heidi Sutton, will highlight staff throughout the school year. She explained, “We will kick-off our school year with staff stories to introduce you to ALL staff involved in your student’s daily life. Each month we will share stories from our educators.”

Sutton continued, “We will start this month with Mrs. Brooke Scott, First Grade teacher.”

My name is Brooke Scott. I've been in education for 17 years and I've always taught the littles – Kindergarten and First Grade. I'm a girl mom with two daughters. During football season you'll see me at the West Valley Ram football games cheering on my husband, Coach Scott.

I love volunteering my time helping-out at Apple Valley PTO events and teaching Sunday school at church. I love to travel during the summer. Anywhere with a beach or a lake is my favorite.

My favorite places are Disneyland or Leavenworth, when it's all lit-up for Christmas! My favorite time of year is fall and I love baking!

My passion is early learning, and my hope for this school year is for every student who walks through my classroom door to feel welcomed and valued.

If there is one quote that sums up how I try to live it would be this, “Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That’s why we call it ‘The Present.’” – Eleanor Roosevelt.

I truly believe each day I spend surrounded by kids is a gift.
