Strategic Plan

Strategic Plan - West Valley School District

Developed in partnership with The Scholar First with input from over 2,450 voices including students, staff, families, and community members, this plan is student-centered and future-focused. Its collective aim is to ensure action is taken to achieve our aspirations: to prepare students for their future—Ready to Learn, Ready to Grow, Ready to Rise Together.

The Strategic Plan was developed throughout the 2023/24 school year and presented to the Board of Directors at their public meeting on May 28, 2024.

The plan includes four goals:

1. Culture of Safety and Belonging

2. Strong Foundations: The Early Years

3. Mastery of Standards

4. Career Pathways

Inclusivity and belonging are fundamental for every student to reach their full potential. Our strategic plan is committed to nurturing a culture of safety and belonging, making it a goal for every school. Staff will collaborate with students, families, and community members to achieve this foundational goal in every classroom.

Mastery of learning standards and preparation for career pathways are inherent in our strategic plan, reflecting our commitment to high expectations for academic achievement.

Education is vital for a healthy, vibrant community. With this plan, our staff will empower students to take ownership of their learning and thrive in a rapidly changing world. Our partnerships with families and the community will bolster and advance these efforts. We extend our gratitude to all who contributed to our strategic plan.
